DR. MATTHEW LACKEY

Veterinarian/Practice Owner

Dr. Lackey graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. He is married to Laura, and they have two children, Liam and Greer, and two rescue dogs, CJ and Zuma, and some fun farm animals. Dr. Lackey enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family in his spare time.

DR. TARA-BETH BRANDON

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Brandon graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2022 and began her career here at Cross County Veterinary Clinic. She and her husband, Wesley, have seven fur babies. Dr. Brandon is passionate about large animal medicine and has added this service back to our clinic.

Our Managers & Veterinary Technicians

NATALIE

Technician Manager/Certified Veterinary Technician

Natalie is one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians and also serves as the Technician Manager. She graduated from ASU-Beebe in 2015 and has worked at the clinic ever since. She is married to Robert and has three children. She enjoys working with all animals, but her favorite has to be goats. Natalie loves her job and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

HANNAH

Certified Veterinary Technician

Hannah Long has been a Certified Veterinary Technician with us for 4+ years. She achieved her degree through Penn Foster’s online program in 2 years. She is married, and they have three dogs, Charlie, Ruger, and Willy, and one cat, Tig. All of her babies are rescues, and they are her entire world. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys going to the gym and reading.

LAURA

Office Manager

Laura graduated from the University of Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in business management. She stayed home for several years while Dr. Lackey pursued his veterinary degree. Laura joined the practice in 2021 once their two children, Liam and Greer, were in school more regularly. She loves all animals and has a little hobby farm with goats, pigs, cows, chickens, turkeys, dogs, and cats.

Veterinary Assistant

Angela has been working at the vet clinic since 2021. She enjoys all of the pets and getting to know their owners. She enjoys building long-lasting relationships with clients and coworkers. She has been married to Aaron for ten years, and together, they have six children and one grandchild. They have also been breeding Yorkies for eight years.

Veterinary Assistant

Stephanie has been a veterinary assistant at the clinic since 2017. She loves working with our small animal patients. Stephanie is married and has two children. She brings joy to the clinic and is always making everyone laugh. Stephanie loves her job and is very compassionate.

Blakely has been with the clinic since 2016. She is currently our head large animal assistant. She brings lots of knowledge to the profession with her years of experience with horses. She is married to Grant and has three children.

Receptionist

Jen Wallis has been a part of the Cross County Veterinary Clinic for several years. She is married to Paul, and they have four children. Jen and her family attend 3 Trees Cowboy Church, and they enjoy going on mission trips together. Jen loves all animals, but she excels at loving people. When she’s not at work, you can find her chasing her kids to the net sporting event or whatever new adventure they want to try.
